Field hockey Lithuania receives amnesty, but the scandal is growing
Lithuanian women field hockey team is rehabilitated and has a chance to contend for the champion title. After the incident which took place in France during the selection tournament of the World Championship-2002 (SE-Internet commented on the incident in details) the Lithuanian team was disqualified. But at the end of last week FIH has considered the appeal and cancelled the decision of the commissioner of the selection tournament and decided to hold an additional competition for two vacant places for WC-2002 among national teams of Lithuania, Ireland, USA and India. |
