World champion-2001 and four times Russian champion Vitally Makarov from Chelyabinsk wasn't participating in the second day of the country's championship in Nobovheboksarsk (Chuvashia), SE-Internet correspondent Boris TITOV reports. |
The world's strongest lightweight fighter got unexpectedly ill. While he was absent the Russian champion title was won by Garik Aivasyan from Krasnoyarsk (below 73 kg). In the middleweight group (below 81 kg) Denis Ogienko who surpassed vice-champion Lasha Pipia from Chelyabinsk won the prize. |
Nothing unexpected happened in the women's championship. World championship-2001 participants became winners - Tatyana Shushakova from Omsk (below 57 kg) and Tatyana Papushina from Kaluga (below 63 kg). |
Today medals in middle and half-heavyweight groups are being contested. Tomorrow the championship in Novocheboksarsk will be finished by heavyweight fighters' tournaments. |
